  1. One of my favorite scenes in a newer film is when the main character in Oldboy eats the live squid. The guy has been dead inside and trapped for so long, all he wants to do is get something with life inside of him. Loved it!
  2. Wonder if it's related to all the noise the fans make to keep that beast of a camera cool!
  3. I loved the sound design and music in this film - I think it was the best part of the experience. Overall, the film felt long and a little predictable but definitely watchable and Ben Afflect wasn't too annoying. There was definitely a decent amount of ADR but Ren and co. did a good job of mixing it in. He mentioned the scene between Ben and his sister in the bar in particular. It didn't particularly jump out at me when watching it but I do a pretty good job of tuning off my professional side when I watch a movie. And yes, if you work in edit or sound long enough you can easily tell when things are 2 frames out of sync. I've worked with numerous people (including directors) who will ask us to adjust sync a frame or two because it looks off and they are usually right.
  4. Hi folks - Very new here (first post) and am loving all the great info! Hopeing to get some advice - I am putting together my audio gear and am thinking of getting a couple DPA 4060 mics. I currently have (2) G3 units with COS-11 mics. I am getting a couple Letro 400/411 units and am looking to either get two more COS-11 mics or get two DPA 4060. It would be nice to have a couple different mics in my arsenal but if I end up needing all 4 lav mics going at once, would they be too far off to match? I am guessing the G3 & Lectro matching might be a bigger issue. I do mostly narrative work. I will want to cut these with the Sennheiser 8060. I use the SD 664. Thanks fore the help! Erick
