  1. Good article about solar myths. http://mediamatters.org/research/2013/01/24/myths-and-facts-about-solar-energy/192364
  2. I love it when people make that statement. How does it compare to a single oil spill on the envorenment?
  3. Which is why I'm going to look at our usage vs size of panels we are having installed.
  4. I am interested in seeing how much our next bill will be. We moved end of last year, and have only had to run the aircon a lot the last two months. The house we were in before was small yet we had 3 bills last year that were $900 each. Once we get out solar installed, it will be interesting to see how much much we will still be paying yearly. If it's more than $400, then it would be worth it in the Longrun. Especially since they are projecting a rate hike of 25% in the next couple Of years. As of now, it looks like our daily average use is about 4kwh a day. So a 10 kWh battery would more than suffice, and we would never ever ever pay for electricity again.
  5. I simply hold true to the saying "I don't HAVE to be nice. It's not the 60's anymore."
  6. I'd hire you. And because of the excellent incentives by the LADWP I am seeing a lot of conversions from grass to desert and drought resistant gardens.
  7. yep. Same here. Wife just dumped her iPhone 6. She hated it.
  8. Yeah. It would have been nice if they would have thought about this decades ago. Maybe they should have enacted water saving incentives decades ago, and implemented laws that say new construction may only use drought resistant plants and artificial turf. But they didn't. Some might think that's too radical. Still has nothing to do with the high speed rail, which was just approved. Oh, and it's $68 billion. Not $100 billion.
  9. Yeah. Let's blame the high speed rail. Uum, they haven't been working on that the last 50 years.
  10. Are you talking production dialog?
  11. Yeah, I didn't know rightwinger or left winger were derogatory terms like libtard and republitard are. I simply stated what aI see all the time, where those on the right, when called on their bullshit, play the victim card. As Mirror was, and did.
  12. Back to the thread. They should raise the rates on water being used by the fracking industry, because it's a scarce commodity. The same way the industry has raised prices on oil whenever they feel like it. They should raise the rebates on replacing lawn and garden plants with drought resistant plants amd artificial grass. All new construction should be forced by law to use artificial grass and drought resistant plants.
  13. And here he wants to say he's smarter than everyone else. Classic traits of a sociopath. Moronic solution.
  14. Ah yes. Mirror playing the victim card. So typical of a rightwinger when they get called on their BS.
  15. It has to be comletely seemless, even if it is just clip level, cuts and crossfades. Track names HAVE to be the same as what I have in my session, so everything ends up in the right spot. The first time it causes a problem, I wouldnt allow that person to deliver me anything but a Pro-Tools session. If they cant do that, I wouldn't hire them again.
  16. A friend is shooting a movie in Vancouver and he is looking for a sound mixer. Recommendations?
  17. A friend is shooting a movie in Vancouver, mane is looking for a sound mixer. Recommendations?
  18. Except Nuendo simply doesn't have the market penetration that Pro-Tools has, here in the USA. So, if you're gojg to do Auro post, you will need both. Unless you are your own one stop production services that will never ever ever deliver outside of your facility. Which will also of course limit your future in regards to getting work anywhere else.
  19. I was worried as well, as I loved the original. But they've done a great job of not copying the movie, but using it as a starting point for the characters and story.
