  1. First Peter, and now Phil. I used to work with Phil and he was a wonderful person. He will be missed.
  2. Zozoda, Will you hire an assistant to be with you? If so, hire a sound mixer instead. In my doc days, not only did I record sound, but loaded mags, held reflectors, pulled focus, schlepped gear, made sure my DP didn't fall on his ass while walking backwards. It will be money well spent. I wish you good luck!
  3. I was recording a scene on stage and kept hearing a clicking sound. It was the producer's mechanical heart valve!
  4. Mixed a movie for a friend, "A Pig's Tale", I think it was shown on screens in Minnesota.
  5. I am currently looking for a nice pair of Klipschorns in cherry. My plan is to tuck them discretely in the corners of our living room and hope my lovely bride doesn't notice.
  6. Most of my listening is done with a Thorens TT, Linn arm and Grado cartridge. I enjoy the sound.
  7. My impression was that the RRM was used to having iso's at his disposal. In this case they were unnecessary If I am getting a good track on a boom, I want that used, so I don't give them the option of a lav.
  8. I recently had a two shot of the actors standing about two feet apart on a quiet set. Boom was about a foot overhead. Got a call from post. Said they couldn't find my iso tracks.......................
  9. What will you do when the label comes off and the plastic's all broken and the chrome is too soft?
  10. Dear home owner, Sorry about your floor. We had to water it.
  11. I'm with Jeff. I keep a KM81 and a KM82 in a rycote and a KM184 & KM185 in Cinelas. I have tried many mounts and Cinelas are the best.
  12. I have ridden in helicopters over fifty times with more than a few scary moments.
  13. Rent a car and drive it like you stole it!
  14. I worked for a director we called Dawn Dave!
  15. Reminds me of back when I worked for Gerry Todd at SCTV!
  16. Stopped by today to pick up a repair. BIG space, and Fabi said they are installing a Starbucks Kiosk!
  17. Moonrise Kingdom was super 16. I think it looks great.
  18. I worked with Robin for 94 days doing the making of Toys. On HMW day, I was at craft services and he approached me and said, "Hello, sir, I understand we will be working together and I just wanted to introduce myself, I'm Robin" and shook my hand. Over the next 94 days, I laughed so much I nearly pissed myself. RIP.
  19. Did you disassemble the motor? If not, DON'T! The magnets are over magnetized and if removed from the shield, they will lose that property and the motor will become power hungry. Thus Spake Andy Cooper.
