  1. How about something like this? http://www.thetoolboxshop.com/0-777-15-15-core-retractable-electric-cable-3m-working-length-8140.html
  2. Awesome video Ty, thank you!
  3. Go straight out of the Omni into the monitors. The Omni has a built in surround monitor controller that is fully calibratable .
  4. Why not just create a Pro Tools template for each frame rate and have the timecode track pre-synced?
  5. Most obvious is the inability to use the Cut 1 or change capsules.
  6. I built a 12v regulator for a BDS that I no longer use. Locking 761k plugs in and out. PM me if interested
  7. Tired the Ktek and hated it. The blimp portion doesn't just slide on and off, you have to disassemble the entire thing. Look into the brand new Rode blimp. Looks really nice. lighter than original and cheaper too.
  8. I did read it. The cards have known issues. I would stay away from that particular one.
  9. With an annotation. Stick with the 1000x cards, no trouble whatsoever. Delkin Devices CF700X; UDMA6; 16 GB **See Note 1 Note 1: Sound Devices has worked directly with Delkin to identify an intermittent Media I/O issue with newer Delkin CF 500x and CF 700x cards. Delkin has confirmed that a recent change to these two cards is most likely responsible for the errors. Cards containing KZ in the serial number are susceptible to this issue and should not be used. Cards containing VB in the serial number will function correctly and are approved. Deklin CF 1000x and 1050x cards do not experience this issue and may continue to be used.
  10. Those cards are no longer approved media. Try the 1000x cards.
  11. No drawers here but figured you guys might appreciate my Magliner water cooler bottle bag cart. Four folding shelves built in.
  12. I have an 816 I leave in a sennheiser blimp. I found it would work it's way out of the suspension on its own so I zip tied it in. Otherwise my short shotgun lives in a pelican in a softie, only use blimp when necessary.
  13. To power a BDS from an NP1 charger or other 12v source. Interested in selling this? I've been wanting to pick one up
  14. I made it from scratch. Bread boarded it, made a prototype, then built the real one to fit into a small radio shack project box. I'll try to post a picture when I get home
  15. correction: I used L712ra plugs on the voltage regulator to mate with the 761k BDS plugs common to BDS systems
  16. I used switchcraft 761k locking coaxial plugs for use with my BDS plugs
  17. I built a handy little voltage regulator for a few buck in the spring in a radio shack project box. Shouldn't be too difficult to build a 15volt version. 15v voltage regulator: http://www.ti.com/product/tl780-15 Simple circuit:
  18. Jerry is the man! FAST turnaround
  19. Try a hardware SPL meter. Radio Shacks will get the job done. For a typical sized "edit room" 76 - 79 db would be more appropriate.
  20. Larry I have a 211 in block 26 that works fine as far as I can tell. It's on firmware 1.4. . I know the current firmware is 3.1. Worth getting this updated? Ps. Sorry to hijack this thread but while we are on the subject
  21. Batteries for Broadcast's customer service is amazing. they called me back from out of the office in order to quickly respond to my problem ( which was by the way, operator error) and sent me a new charger no charge and allowed me too return the other unit after I received the new. In the end there was nothing wrong with the charger, I'm just a dope. their np1's and chargers have been great.
