lucky you! earlier this year I got resolution to one issue, after months, only when I chased them on social media. but i have an ongoing parts request that they've just stopped responding to. it's been 2 months now.

maybe this is explains why their customer support has gone to shit. they just don't respond. their supply chain is also dead but that may not be related to this.

At the widest point, but the capsule sits in the dome of the BBG, not the straight “tube” of a regular blimp. Makes a significant difference (as I found out!)

fwiw I concur. Technically, it fits fine and does a reasonable job of mitigating mild wind. however, the sound is distinctly “smudged”. Stick with a blimp. Better wind protection (air gap) and less handling noise. If you use a stubby XLR5 it’ll fit in one of the smaller Rycotes (I’d have to check which model I have mine in).
