  1. The iDSP's biggest issue is battery life. Since no one ever powers them off, they will typically not last through a ten hour day. Very nice/sleek otherwise
  2. I'll go with crazy. I haven't had my 442 in years. The 48V wouldn't power COS-11's either. Contacted SD immediately when I encountered the issue and they told me they were aware of the issue and offered no solution. I'll agree that the 442 had better sounding pre's than the 5 or6 series. No comparison to Sonosax,SQN or Cooper however. How about Sonosax SX-M2? one on the Sonosax site for 520 euros.
  3. I would not recommend the 442 as a mic pre. I was never blown away by the warmth by any means. The 48V will not power CUB-1 mics either forcing me to use external 48V power. Not a good indication of their quality and inconvenient.
  4. Also using as camera hop. Having the same issues with mini jack.
