    664 panic

Does it play when the card is in the mixer? In other words can you press play on the 664 and hear audio?
  2. I absolutely love how everyone is willing to jump in and offer advice to people on this board. Willingly. It's amazing. I remember the days when I would ask someone how to time align a PA system, or how to sync tracks, and NO ONE would say anything. Their little secret. Maybe I am a bottle of wine in and being sappy, but I seriously appreciate this community on this site. I wish the OP a successful shoot. Mack PS. I meant beer. Don't judge.
  3. I have both and reach for the 4017 the most, particularly if I am booming all day. It is light, versatile, and sounds fantastic. Key word light. I also use it quite a bit indoors and find it cuts well with the MK41. I also prefer having the filter.
  4. I decided after reading a ton of threads that I was going to buy a Mathews Maxi stand as I was tired of hauling C-stands around. It will work great for a boom and is plenty sturdy that I don't feel any need to worry. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/99162-REG/Matthews_387485_Maxi_Kit_Steel_Stand.html . I also bought the Mathews Hollywood Grip Head https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/139495-REG/Matthews_350580_Hollywood_Grip_Head.html. However, this seems to be too big. The bolt to hold it onto the stand doesn't engage in the indentation of the stand tip, but at the very top of it. While it will work, I just wonder if there a smaller size grip head that fits this thing better?
  5. Enjoyed reading this.....thanks for posting it.
  6. Just curious if you ever figured out how to fix your 816? I have one that needs to be looked at but Senn said they won't service them anymore.

I've been looking for something just like this. Anyone have a source?
  8. I have had good luck using the 4017 inside. This is a versatile mic. I agree with Julian above.
  9. Bottom line is we got lucky. But I was pretty happy about it! Thank goodness I didn't need to clear all of my channels......I am usually a 40 channel wireless show.
  10. Who says you can't clear 20 wireless channels in Time Square?
  11. So....let's talk about something of substance .....are they wired with Lectro or Zaxcom?
  12. I have a workbox at FOH where one of the drawers has a kurig permanently mounted and wired to a power con connector on the back of the box. I roll the box to FOH, plug it in, pull out the drawer, and wala....instant coffee. For the hotel room I carry a hand grinder and an Aeropress..... No addictions here.........
  13. Who made the necklaces for Naked and Afraid? I've always been curious what mic is in there. Not that I watch the show that is.
  14. Thanks so much....I think I am going to give it shot.
  15. I have been considering getting a SuperSoftie for my CMIT5u but keep looking at these Windkillers by Bubblebee. I am wondering if anyone could compare them both in terms of weight and sound? I cannot find many posts on them.
  16. Just ordered two of my own after trying out a demo. They seem like really nice mics. The only complaint I have heard seemed to be related to the cable being noisier than the 4060, but I didn't really notice any real difference. I was going to order 4060's but went with the slim instead. Constantin? Rado? Any difference you notice with cables?
