  1. It'll be interesting if Movie Slate decides to implement something with a watch app. Roll, cut, and display timecode from the watch.
  2. I don't have an Apple Watch, but I'll eventually get one down the road. A LectroRM watch app would be nice if you can design it to be used quickly. Perhaps having a favourite tones section and being able to preset specific settings you want to your Apple Watch before you walk up to the cast. It would definitely be able to save some time instead of pulling out the phone, unlocking, and opening up the app. Despite what people think in this thread, I personally think the Apple Watch will be taken more seriously down the road once they start implementing more frameworks, along with more watch apps being developed by the major app companies.
  3. This was a Funny or Die skit.... Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  4. I once thought that's what people meant, but I guess I got totally confused by Senator's #13 post.
  5. So I've been reading about people saying there are active electronics at the base of the G antennas. I decide to cut up an old g2 antenna I've replaced. I can't seem to find anything. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. I'm still super confused. https://www.facebook...521805184570294 sends me to the business page which I have 'liked' months ago and not a single post on the timeline. Then you have the user profile: https://www.facebook.com/mozegear?fref=ts which is the user profile. So what link did you actually share?
  7. Doug is right. There isn't any link to share that Moze Gear can keep track of. There is a user profile called Moze Gear, but the company should actually convert it to a 'Page' that people can have access to. User profiles for businesses is just bad form.
  8. I was a huge proponent for the app, and I was probably one of the many people constantly asking when this was coming out after it's repeated sneak previews at conferences. But, even though it was delayed on its release I still think it's too early to put this app into play with on-set situations. Being from across the ways in US/Canada territory I find it hard to believe that it is such a hassle to even add any sort of scene lettering which is pretty standard on how we operate over here. When we actually do a slate numbering scheme (rare from where I'm at), it is just a number that increases with each shot. For instance, the first shot of the very first day of shooting would be '1'. If we move to a different shot, it would be '2' and so on. Just like how it would be Scene 1, 1A, 1B, 1C, 6, 6A, 6B it would be Slate 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, etc. instead. It would increase all the way until the final day of shooting. My suggestion is to give us free reign in terms of scene, slate, shot, take numbering schemes. Just look at the mechanics of the Movie★Slate app w/ the Sound Report plugin. Also, I'm not sure you're if you're using localization for certain languages, but in the top menubar to go back to the Project menu screen under the Presets tab it says, Projektauswahl. We obviously can't complain too much about the app as it's a free download, but I would think you would be using this as a major selling point for the ACN-BTL and ACN if you could smooth out the workflow. Right now you're ahead of the game in terms of audio recorder control, but I'm still sitting on the fence trying to figure out which direction I'm going to go (as is many) when it comes to film production metadata ecosystems.
  9. I've started moving away from these. They destroy the plastic covering on rechargeables.
  10. So are you saying Tonmeister isn't available because of Apple's reluctance to approve Bluetooth based apps? If that is true, it begs the question why Ambient would get involved with creating the ACN-BTL and start building its sole app based on iOS & BT technology. Let's keep in mind that Apple is not the only tablet/touch device manufacturer. There is still Windows and Android. So to put blame on Apple for lack of apps and delays is probably not accurate. NFC requires you to be inches within an NFC reader. I'm not sure how NFC would help other than initializing a bluetooth link between two devices.
  11. Well that's disappointing considering they said it was ready-to-go, submitted to the Apple Store and should be available within a couple of weeks from when the video was posted. I'm still hoping Movie Slate is working on their own version of a 788T control w/ Sound Report integration.
  12. So.... what happened to the Tonmeister app? It was said Ambient submitted it to the Apple Store a month ago. I'm guessing Apple didn't approve.
  13. Judging by its size I don't think a BNC connector would work with its current design.
  14. I go to -10 as well. It doesn't give you much choice.
  15. It's no longer issue. The iOS 8 update was approved and available for d/l on Tuesday.
  16. It's not that difficult to make a mute box with a blinking LED. All you need is a toggle switch, an LED, and a couple of input jacks. The problem with the 788T only outputting during record is that you run the issue of what happens during something like a rehearsal. Essentially you can make a mute box using the GPIO logic out and then have an override toggle switch for when you want to bypass the mute function. That shouldn't be hard either.
  17. Windsor is a relatively small city with less than <250,000 people. I would only expect corporate videos and commercials in that area.
  18. Any news on the ACN-BT and Tonmeister app? It's june 30.
  19. There is a shipping option. You just have to call them directly.
  20. I'm a TCB user and of course right after NAB I'm starting to rethink my loyalties. Sound Devices seems to have been licensing their tech to Ambient and I can't blame them due to them using Ambient for their TC technology for how many years now. I think what some of us have been waiting for is recorder integration into MovieSlate. It's tough entering metadata twice, and some of us have resorted to exporting the CSV from the recorder and importing back into MovieSlate at the end of the day. The question is, "Is Sound Devices putting all their eggs in a basket with Ambient or are they willing to license out to other 3rd parties?" I love Ambient's products but after seeing the UI design for Tonmeister and the various other apps I suddenly realize why MovieSlate along with its various plugins are not free. The fact that PureBlend (who makes MovieSlate) specializes in app programming and UI design is what makes that app what it is. I'd definitely pay a lot more for a MovieSlate 788T plugin over an Ambient Tonmeister 788T plugin from what I've seen from those screenshots. If anything, I hope PureBlend has tried to open some dialogue with Sound Devices about the potential there. I would definitely pay a lot more for that 788T plugin with MovieSlate than what Ambient is offering theirs for.
  21. I'm guessing more than a TX but less than a TRX.
  22. It's not his browser, its the board. I don't think Jeff has figured out how to patch it yet.
