I've been having an issue with my computer and phone reading my unit. I plug it in, it has full charge, but the software says nothing is connected. I try it on the mac version of the software, the windows version of the software, and even into my iphone. Ive used different usb cables, too. Ive sent a message to the company. Anyone else having a similar issue?

I've started bringing a small DIT kit when i'm away from a studio situation. It includes an Asus K200MA laptop. It's $300 and not powerful by any means, but I was bringing my really nice Macbook to shoots and I was just not pleased with having it on location around newer crews who couldn't watch their step. I use the Asus to backup my files daily. I will give my CF to DIT and then back my SD card up to the laptop. I had a week long gig about a year ago, and when the DIT was traveling back home with the files, the hard drive was somehow ruined by TSA.

Ok, new question. Taking the "fancy" kit out of the equation, what would you recommend for wireless and recorder? Three more G3 packs and a fancier, larger tascam?
what mics are you currently using with your g3s?

i have the Versa HS1N. it is a little much for my setup. (633, and 2-3 channels of wireless)
My bag isnt super heavy, but I enjoy how comfortable the harness is. I use it without the waist strap 90% of the time.

Terrible. This was just a few blocks from my house. Just shocked. Terrible news. So sad.

I understand for an extra $99, they can calibrate the cables by remote control.
I have been told that this 3-foot AudioQuest "Diamond" HDMI cable will actually improve the content of movies watched through it:
You gotta read the comments on this cable. Here's a few:
Don't get me wrong. This cable offers adequate performance for something in this price range, but if you want truly high end performance, you really need to be prepared to spend a little more for the better quality. There are a lot of excellent products available but for only $12,000 for a three foot cable, the naquadah enhanced p3x-888 with dylithium contacts provides a far better experience. See, the AudioQuest Diamond is limited by the copper conductors which, like all metal conductors, can only transport electrons at just below 186,000 m/sec. My p3x-888 cable actually creates an active wormhole at each end of the cable and the ones and zeroes are actually dematerialized and transferred instantly from one end to the other, where they are rematerialized. This means that data arrives a few picoseconds earlier and less ragged for its long journey. Your zeroes are rounder and your ones are sharper than any mere copper conductor could provide.
My house recently went into foreclosure and i needed something to cheer me up. I walked into the nearest best buy with the intention of just browsing and not purchasing anything. I was approached by a beautiful sales woman who said i looked very depressed and needed an HDMI cable in my life. She showed me the most expensive one they had. I explained to her my situation and she informed me there really was no point in paying my house since i was gonna lose it anyways. This made sense to me and i skipped my house payment and bought the cable.
As i waited at the bus stop i couldn't wait to tell all my friends. I found the nearest pay phone and called my friends collect. They were even more excited than me! The next day i was evicted from my house but was invited to stay over my friends for the weekend because they wanted to use the cable to watch sports games. "Wow the picture quality is simply amazing" said my friend. "You can stay here as long you want as long as we keep using this great cable of yours". I now have a permanent home without an expensive mortgage payment! I'm just thankful i found this cable! I don't know where i would be without it!
The reviews are so great. I like this one the best.

By tazh0801on August 5, 2014I cannot resist when i found this cable in amazon. So, i sold my car to buy this diamond cable. Then i lost my job as i don't have car to work. Then i got kicked out from apt as i don't have income to pay rent. Now i am one of the people that stand on the corners, holding big homeless cardboard, begging for money. (Some of you might seen me before) Then miracle happen..I tuck the MAGIC diamond cable on myself when begging for money, people are willing to give me more money. If they want to touch my diamond cable, they will need to give extra.Guess what, i am now making more money than my last engineer salary. And i am happy to continue doing this on the street. You know...people get upset when they don't get to see and touch my diamond cable."

I just used my 633 up at 10,590 feet above sea level and in 20°F weather. Hell, I even mixed from it on the back of a snowmobile and it never let me down. Love this thing!
That sounds awesome! I just ordered mine. Can't wait to explore the machine.

finally got it to work. spent 3hrs on it last night and an hour today after production. I definitely connected it the same way as before and it just magically responded after the sixth try with a fresh restart of my OS. thanks.
