  1. Another vote for the Element here! Excellent production car, but yes a bit tricky to find these days. I lucked out and found an '07 with under 50k miles back in 2012, but it's tough. If you find one with higher mileage, but can get it thoroughly checked out, I wouldn't hesitate to buy one. A Honda of that age, properly taken care of, should easily last 200k miles! Plus they're pretty easy to work on, have many durable aspects (timing chain among them) and share tons of mechanical parts with Civics and Accords. And the storage space, amazing - fold up the back seats, take them out... I've even removed the passenger seat before, just 4 bolts and a cable for the airbag, like driving a mini cargo van! Can't say enough good things about them!
  2. Interesting! I thought I understood that the Slim was end-address but perhaps I misunderstood! I'm very curious about this, I'll PM you.
  3. Hey Abe, any updates on the DPA Slim variant?
  4. So I never had direct experience with it myself, but had heard of the issue and read official confirmation on Page 12 of the Lectro HM manual (particularly about the Neumann KM1xx series and the Rode NTG3) as well as various threads on the Neumann forums... It works now, though!
  5. Well I hate to quote myself here, but if anybody else cares, the HMa does seem to have a change to its P48 implementation (dunno if it is correctly applying voltage to both pins 2 & 3 or if there is a different change.) It DOES work with Neumann KM1xx mics, at least the KM184 and KM185. Had a chance to test last week. Even better, the 15v setting is also fine, which should help with battery runtime? Dunno if this will solve the powering issues for other "picky" mics that were incompatible with the original HM without a phantom polarity reverse barrel, but maybe someone will find this info helpful!
  6. The slate surface itself isn't backlit is it? No option for that? Looks cool, and so affordable, either way!
  7. Thanks for your quick response! I suppose I'll just have to buy some to find out, heh. I only asked about the dealers because your website didn't suggest Gotham (or anyone else comparable) in Atlanta, despite us having a Gotham location here. I'll get in touch with them, thanks!
  8. Maybe you guys haven't tested this out, but do your ear mounts fit other brands of mics? I'm thinking specifically about DPA 4060s and Slims, which I could stand to use sometimes as headsets.. Also it would be super helpful to many of us if you had distribution through some of the larger location sound dealers like Trew, Gotham, etc. Food for thought.
  9. This would be super awesome. I use a 633, right now with a 411 and am waiting on an SRc. Sometimes I need to add another SR, or 411, and have been debating a Remote Audio RM.. I can't imagine I'm the only person who would be interested in a modular system! Any chance of that m, Simon?
  10. I noticed a small difference in the signal flow diagram for the HMa vs the HM in the online manuals. Could you elaborate on this change and its effect? Will this have any impact on its compatibility with mics like the Neumann KM18x line, as per the problems spelled out here? Or will we still have to use polarity-reversing barrel adapters? Thanks, can't wait for wideband!
