Love my zaxcom getups. But am jealous we don't have good rain resistant options like lectro. I was thinking a small plastic molded clip on case with rubber gaskets for the antenna could be an option for rain proofing. The water proof cell phone cases r clumsy and oversized. Compared to the lectro watertight txs. Glen. Any plans for some water tight options in the near future? reakon thin gasketed clip on cases could work?

Yeh I agree. The last shoot I had. Cast members were all over the place with multiple cameras. So we're the cameras. having the control like you say would be great.

Anyone know if you can leave the beltpack on lrec, But still maintain gain and freq control? from my experience. If you have control over the freq and gain. Start and stop from the nomad also start and stop rec on the trx. The only way I've been able to have the trx continue recording is if I change the setting on the trx to "allow ifb remote control" OFF. Which in turn of course does not allow me control of gain and freq

I've had good luck with transcend 133x I haven't used any others so can't speak for them.

same here. Pianissimo Loon 742 + backup recording. Awesome setup. I have the piano with cmit as well I have the rycote with 416 The cinela stuff appears bigger but is a little lighter. Handling noise is great. Better than rycote? Would be close Thing that annoys me with cinela is the angle adjust tightener is either tight or not tight. The rycote is much better. U can leave it tight. Hand adjust it by re angling the basket. The cinela needs to be loosened by hand basket adjusted then locked. Try that 3 or 4 times getting ur angle correct. And quick. Wish they would do something similar to rycote.

They also tear the covers after a while. I use mine evenly and have torn about 12 all about the same time. Straight into the trash. Looking for something new. Amazon had some nylon wallet type ones that look good

It's true. I just hope we see it happen. With an erx and a 742. Off deep into the deserts of Arizona without my maxx. Would be great. Obviously it already achieves it's main purpose So it may take a while to implement since they have so many other things they work on

I feel stupid now. That's awesome. Thanks Jack. I talked to Howie also. He said that it's possible to make it record in up to 96k in a standalone recorder mode. Just needs time to implement it in the firmware. Which would imo make this an extremely popular solution for sfx portable rigs. And they would sell a bunch of them just on that merit.

The 742 is the best purchase ever. I love using it for location sfx recording without any recorder. I just wish it had in built record on and off.

Keen to see how you all find this with the zaxcom maxx or Nomad, which are certainly famous for their drift over the period of a full day. Enough to be a problem?, love to hear any experiences.

Zaxcom should have a default A-mix button, u push it and it does all the neccessary adjustments to have auto mix work... Then we would obviously adjust which tracks we want auto mixed etc... I like the MAXX routing / record routing much better than Nomad
