  1. After an outcry from iPhone users that Apple is slowing down older iPhones to prolong battery life, the Verge is reporting: Apple says that batteries are “consumable components,” and is offering anyone with an iPhone 6 or later a battery replacement for $29 starting in late January through December 2018 — a discount of $50 from the usual replacement cost. Apple’s also promising to add features to iOS that provide more information about the battery health in early 2018, so that users are aware of when their batteries are no longer capable of supporting maximum phone performance. Visit Apple’s website for more info: https://www.apple.com/iphone-battery-and-performance/ This would be a great way to extend the useable life of older devices still in workflows.
  2. I'm building an app that can connect to a Venue VRWB or the new Venue VRM2 and display data about battery life and transmitter frequency. Using the ethernet port or a Global Cache iTach with the older Venue WB you can control your venue via an iPad or iPhone. The app is available for Beta testing now. If you are interested in testing this app and providing feedback to make it better please send me a message and I can help you get it set up on your device. Here are some screenshots. Yes it supports controlling multiple venues. The goal? To give you and your team the same functionality that the Wireless Designer app provides, in your pocket! -Real time battery readout -Frequency coordination and integration with other apps like FreqFinder and LectroRM -Remote control without cables, or clunky laptops/pc.
  3. Has anyone had any success pairing an Apple Wireless Keyboard with the Sound Devices 970? If so, how did you do it? I'd also love to use it with my 633, but getting it to work with the 970 is the priority for now. Thanks!
  4. For those of you getting upset or whatever, watch the video. It's obviously a joke. It's humor for your enjoyment. You're welcome. Anyone planning on getting one of these things? I'd check out this video before doing so. Seriously, watch it until the end to really get a grasp on the awesome technology that Apple is introducing into the tech realm. Mind = Blown!
  5. My name is Dan Canfield and I am a recent graduate that just moved out to San Francisco. I came up with a concept for Apple while in school and have talked briefly with Tim Cook, Phil Schiller, and other executives about this ground breaking concept, but the fact is I need your help in order to make this happen. So what is it? iLive is a premier student housing concept that fuses together student living with Apple technologies to create an interactive experience for the university student. iLive units feature practical and educational amenities that act as a testing ground for new Apple products and services. Units are premium priced and offer a top notch luxury experience that places this style of living in a whole new category. The buzz has been created but help me make this concept become a reality. Imagine a home where technology is seamlessly integrated into your lifestyle. From voice activated commands that control all aspects of the home, to wireless syncing, your home and personal devices work together to create an experience never witnessed before. There is no longer the question of how you would like to live, but the reality of iLive. Lets do it! Questions? dcanfield4@gmail.com
