  1. Okay this is a little off topic, but I tend to do a lot of DIY and am looking at a rotary tool for the job. This is more of an "equipment" question as it is primarily comparing the Dremel 4000 to the Proxxon, specifically the 38472, but feel free to move it to DIY if the shoe fits. The 4000 is at the top of the Dremel line while this particular Proxxon is mid grade, but is slightly more pricy then the Dremel. I've searched online and found several review and videos, all mixed. I particularly like the drill press for the Proxxon over that for the Dremel, but it so mixed on everything else that I'm asking those here that have used either or both. I'm asking specifically here because, well, I trust some of you. For better or worse. (tongue sticking out face) Basically, it seems Dremel isn't what it used to be, or at least that's what I'm reading. Whereas Proxxon is less known and has those who love it those who've had bad experiences. I've worked in a manufacturing shop with all the right tools. I'd love to have that shop again, but really, I'm not building a shop here. I want to build prototypes for ideas in my apartment. Opinions? Thanks.
