Hi Everyone, I'm about to embark on my next serious step up from my G3 wireless rig, they're just not cutting it anymore on the gigs I'm getting so I'm looking at the following 2 set up choices; 2 Lectrosonics LT transmitters & SRC Receiver or 2 Wisycom MTP40S transmitters & MCR-42S Receiver. I'm based in Ireland and sadly we have no hands on access to either of these set ups at any stores so i could get a rough idea. I've done extensive research and I just can't come to a conclusion on the significant differentiators between the 2 set ups. Would anyone like to chime in with their experiences? Thanks! PJ

Hey Everyone, It seems like forever since my last blog post but I've finally published the next installment! http://soundrelated.com/a-day-at-the-tibetan-opera/ Here you will find me recording Tibetan Opera in the mountains of McLeod Ganj, home of the Dalai Lama and exiled Tibetan government. As always the recordings are included in the post. I'll bet you haven't heard anything like this before! You may also notice the site has undergone a major facelift, so feel free to have a look around and let me know what you think. Enjoy!

Hey Everybody, It's been a while between posts but finally here is the latest instalment of my blog. http://soundrelated.com/the-rajasthan-desert-session-2/ Here you'll find me in the deserts of Rajasthan, India, recording some amazing Manganiyar musicians. As always the recordings are included (three this time) and there are some amazing photos to go with it. This was one of the best days of my life so hopefully I've captured some of the joy I experienced and can now share it with you. Enjoy! Jo

Hey All, Just published my latest blog entry on Sound Related. http://soundrelated.com/the-tharu-pumpkin-man/ This is a recording I made on my last day in Sauraha, Nepal. It features one of the local Tharu villagers singing and playing an odd stringed instrument made from a pumpkin! Very cool. Enjoy! Jo

Hey All, I’ve just posted the next entry in my blog. This time I'm covering my time in the Jungle village of Sauraha. http://soundrelated.com/elephants-and-tigers-and-a-rhino-oh-my/ Elephant football and beauty pageants, canoe rides and jungle treks, wild rhinos and getting stoned off a milkshake is all to be had here. There is also a recording I made at the elephant breeding centre, it's a little disturbing. Enjoy! Jo
