  1. Hello All, I would like to know if it's possible to get cleaner audio from a lav receiver to a Zoom H4N/H6? Is it possible to plug a 1/4 plug from the lav to the Zoom instead of the XLR to get better audio? Thank you.
  2. I haven't dig deep into sound yet because I learn better when I play with toys than just reading about them. Please pardon my inexperienced. I been interning under a wedding videographer and we have been talking about me becoming a dedicated sound for the wedding. How could this be done theoretically? Should I have many wireless lav plug into my mixer during the ceremony? And I think I would just walk around with a short boom for everything else. You don't have to go into the nitty gritty detail. I just want to know if this could theoretically be done.
  3. Hello all. It's been a while since I last got on this forum. I am halfway on one of Jay Rose book but I felt that even though I read it, I'm not understanding it. Maybe it's like working a camera where you have to use it to understand it better. So I'm wondering if I should just start buying gear, learn as I go WHILE reading Jay Rose's book. And should I buy the lower end and upgrade as I go or should I try for something mid range or higher so I don't waste money buying twice. Also for some perspective, I'm working minimum wage job at the moment
