  1. The current conversion or update price to change an SRa to an SRb is $250 in the US. That price will be good until 31 July 2013. It will increase 50% to $375 after 31 July 2013. At the end of the year, we will drop the conversion "deal". Current cost for a block change is $752.38 and the SRb conversion uses exactly the same parts and requires the same alignment. So, at the end of the year the conversion may get pricey. Note that at $375, it is still half price. If you can't get a unit in before 31 July, simply make an appointment before then for a conversion before 30 Sept 2013. This gives you 50+ days to decide to rob the piggy bank and 111 days to find a break in your schedule. If you have a firm appointment, the crew is good about turning the units around for a specific return date. In the past few months, we have have done a thousand conversions in bulk. That is slowing down and in a few months it will start becoming similar to a regular repair. Hence the pricing change. Best Regards, Larry Fisher Lectrosonics
  2. Hi to anyone with a Fostex DC-R302, Just a note that there is a relatively new 1.25 firmware update available for the Fostex DC-R302 at the Fostex Japan site here : http://www.fostex.jp/version_up/275 (The Fostex International site does not include this latest update - disappointing.) You'll have to use Google translate to see details of the update, but it does seem like an improvement from the previous version. Don't know if any Fostex reps frequent this group? Can I make a friendly suggestion? It would be most customer centric service if Fostex could ensure that all software updates also appear on the international site with dates and details of the updates, including previous update histories. This would be most appreciated and is usually standard procedure with companies who care about customer experience. Thanks very much :-)) Have a pleasant day. Cheers, Dave
  3. Remote Audio is now offering an update for all Meon LiFe units manufactured before April 15, 2013. The update ensures reliable switching to/from battery power in the event of a brown out or similar AC power irregularity. The update is also beneficial in certain circumstances when the Meon LiFe is used in conjunction with a gas powered generator or power conditioning device (e.g. Furman). Parts and installation will be free of charge. Customers will be responsible for all shipping charges. Service will be performed at Remote Audio’s main office in Nashville, TN. Customers in the Los Angeles, CA area may alternatively bring their unit to Trew Audio’s LA location, an authorized Remote Audio service center. If you are interested in getting the update, please contact our main office first for a Return Authorization number and further information. You can contact us at 615-256-3513 or info@remoteaudio.com. Please have your unit’s serial number ready when you contact us. Thank you.
  4. I see that Zaxcom has just released their new batch of firmware (http://www.zaxcom.com/software-updates) and it got me thinking. I have firmware 7.30 on my TRX900 and I see that subsequently, there has been 7.30a through to the current 7.30f. Will the latest firmware contain ALL the previous updates or do I install every update separately? I guess this question would apply to all devices that require firmware updates.
