Heres a winner. Anybody want to take a guess at what the rate actually is?

EL PASO is a period Western short film. Horses, gun fights, and beautiful women. We've got it all.

STAR TREK: THE NEXT GENERATION alum Michael Dorn (Worf) is the writer/director. Our Director of Photography is a highly regarded feature film DP and Camera Op.

We're shooting Alexa or Super 35mm, within the 30 mile zone around LA. The shoot is tentatively scheduled for May 31, June 1-3 for the Sundance Film Festival early submission.

While there is pay for all positions, this is a LOW BUDGET shoot that is being done for ''the love of the game''. Our interest is to hire people with a healthy perspective that working on this film will not provide a financial windfall, but WILL be a great networking opportunity.

We are seeking seasoned professionals who have 5+ years experience in the positions sought. We are seeking:

Location Manager/Scout

Production Manager

Steadicam Operator

First AC

2nd AC

Sound Operator w/ Equipment

Gaffer

Hair/MUA

Wardrobe

Production Designer

First AD

Second AD

Prop Master

Key Grip

Dolly Grip

Electric

Stunt Coordinator

DIT/Video Village Op

Production Assistants

Please only submit your name if you have 5+ years in Film and Television production and you have a minimum of 3 televised works that you were involved in.

"For the love of the game..."

That usually means no pay. At best, $100. At absolute best, you can negotiate $200 for sound and gripe about how they're pouring all their money into an Alexa, but hey! It's a six week passion project which you can comfortably live off your savings. Right?

If Michael Dorn, a fine gentleman, can afford to own and fly (pilot) his own jet aircraft (he used to) then he can afford to pay folks to make his movie.

" a period Western short film. Horses, gun fights, and beautiful women. We've got it all."

... in three days?? he knows better!

Good point. I guess that's worth bleeding my savings for a month.

Also, I'll need to bring 12 wireless, right? I record with an FR-2, but hey! You ain't paying enough to get someone who knows how impractical that is.

but do you have three tv show credits and 5 years?

The starship enterprise was so much more than a "jet aircraft"....

As a bridge officer, the chief of security is in the chain of command. On the Enterprise D, that would be in order: Picard, Riker, LaForge, Worf, Crusher, Data, Troi.

Worf would also have temporary rotations to the Conn and Ops consoles to maintain proficiency in those stations, again as part of his duties as a bridge officer. Crusher is listed in the chain of command even though she is not technically a bridge officer, because she is part of the command staff as the Chief Medical Officer.

The problems happen when either Data goes berzerk, or someone lets Troi drive.

Crusher made a big deal out of passing the bridge officer's exam later in the series and pushed Troi to do it. It was a major story point for a number of episodes when she was given temporary command of the Enterprise for one reason or another.

Decent parts one and two with Crusher in command, Thine Own Self when Troi took the bridge officers test. Weirdly, we only see her in command in Disaster, which aired two years prior.
