The frame on my K-Tek Stingray just broke. Its a snap on the right hand bend on top front.

Has anyone else had this problem. Not even a year old.

Dave from K-Tek has contacted me directly to sort it out. Thanks Dave.

I must add, that apart from this, I'm actually very happy with the Stingray.

Was just wondering if this is a one off issue, or if anyone else out there has encountered this.

Thanks, Steve

Love that bag. Small and lite. Still the best bag for a smaller setup. I modified mine. These pictures below are from my older setup but you still can get an idea...

  • 1 month later...

I just finished this upgrade to my bag and wanted to share. I've had this design for a while but had not gotten around getting it done. It's a 3D printed bracket (or dashboard). I copied the idea a while ago from Pascal's original aluminum bracket. This one is very light and cost me CAD$120 to print (about 12 hours). I used PLA plastic fillament, but will probably go for nylon next time as I already have ideas to improve the design.

I have revived (and revised) the LINK to Show Me Your Bag Gallery I maintain. Anytime anyone posts a picture I try and put it up in the Show Me Your Bag gallery. I am going to see about making the gallery interactive so that members can post their own images with comments and descriptions. The built in Gallery (for this IPB Forum) sucks big time so it has been retired. In the next few months we will be doing a major update to the software that drives this forum. Maybe then we will have a decent Gallery section that is properly integrated with the site.

That would be great.

Nice bag - as an SXR4 user myself I'm interested in what you have wrapped around the gain knobs ? Do you have on off switches for the 4 mic amp inputs ?

Thanks Lisala, around the gain knobs it is simply some fluo gaffer tape, so i see the knobs better and the adherence touch feeling is nice! much better as on the naked sonosax hard plastic knobs.

No on off switches.

that's why i'm using the RX emergency one and two between the lectros receiver and sx-r4 line in.

With the R4+ this addition will be no more necessary...

Same for me that's why I probably won't bother getting the screen upgrade - will still keep the sxr4 as backup/ 2nd recorder.
