JP Evans
Yup, sprayed by a lion today, just enough to know I'm his now. I had moved my rig away from the cage a minute before when the trainers warned us it was coming. The all clear was given so I moved back in, but his aim was fast and true. I think he got three of us, make-up and a little on camera, which was not rolling. BTW we were outside his main cage all along. The trainers encouraged us to spray right back. : )

ptalsky
JP, I sponsor two big cats at a rescue faciliity in Southern California called Shambala (a bengal tiger and a black leopard) and one of the first things they teach us is to move sideways when the spray is about to happen, rather than back, since the spray can travel 10-15 feet. (Knocking wood...so far I haven't been hit). So, for future reference, always go sideways. ;-)
Guest repete86
10-15 feet? That's impressive.
Jeff Wexler
10-15 feet? That's impressive. At my age I'm lucky to get 8 feet out of that thing on a good day. - JW
