Richard Thomas
Anyone had any experience using the Sony DMW-C3 control surface? http://pro.sony-asia.com/product/dmw-c3 It's pretty compact, DC powered (15V), has long throw faders and they occasionally come up on ebay for not very much However, it's made for their XPRI editing system and I'm not sure how it talks to the XPRI software (RS422? proprietary protocol?) I'm wondering whether it could work with GlovePIE or similar
Guest dawidbrook
Sony DMW-03 has good audio control panel which is integrated with XPRI user interface. And it is used with the DMW-S05NL. Sony DMW-03 has good features which are monitor level control, audio monitor track selection buttons and USB connection for other USB devices. Philip Perkins
What ever you use this with would have to have drivers that recognize and talk to this thing, unless it has some built in emulations like HUI etc. Didn't see any mention of its use beyond that Sony edit system phil p
Richard Thomas
Gave up after not finding out any more about how it talked to the computer. I've done a bit of stuff with a program called glovepie where you can use scripts to turn input device commands into midi, and thought there might be something in that. Using the iControls thing now.
