tombackus
Hey gang I have a 416 that came back from a shoot missing the set screw that holds the inner elements in. Apart from sending the microphone off to be repaired, anybody know how I might get a hold of one of these set screws? Thanks Tom Backus
Eric Toline
Try a local watch repair place or an optical shop. Walmart has an optical shop and they have all sizes of tiny screws for various frames. Eric
Ron Meyer
It is a theaded pin that holds all of the various MKH-xxx mics together. The threaded pin is made my Sennheiser only. I am sure you could buy one from Dave Pebworth (parts guy) at Location Sound Corp. Ron
Travis Breitenbach
It's a threaded post, not a standard screw or something you'd find at a watch shop. Sennheisers lose them all the time, so any rental house or shop should have them and be able to sell you one for about three bucks.
BudRaymond
My boom guy lost one in his zeppelin once. Worth a look, or maybe he just got lucky!
