vonblake
Thanks for all the great ideas. I usually use velcro or bongo straps for my ERX but I need to mount two G3s for stereo and so I'm worried about the space. Do you strap the G3s together first and then attach it to the camera or does this cause problems?
soundslikejustin
For 2 G3's I'd either use a double pouch velcro'd to the back of the battery (if broadcast cam) or use a hotshoe extension bar and mount them side by side. Philip Perkins
I have a single-pouch "straddle bag" orig made for full size Lectro RX that I worked ok for two G2 RX, I later took that pouch to an outdoor equipment/custom design shop and had them make me a new one that was a bit bigger (like big enough to hold an SRB with a battery in the sled, or 2 G2 RX or a G2 and a Lockit etc ). While I like "hard mounting" G2s etc via the camera shoe dingus that comes from Sennheiser, you can't always count on that working. It might be that they put a monitor in that shoe that has no mounting holes etc, or that there isn't really room left after all the camera gak (and maybe an onboard mic too) for TWO boxes from you. Some shooters just prefer the pouch thing in any case. It's good to be able to offer them options in how to mount audio and TC stuff on their cameras. phil p
