Philip Perkins
I saw some RF freq. analyzer pkgs for laptops for WiFI freqs. They were cool small units that plugged into a USB port. What I would love would be a similar kind of thing in the UHF bands we use, w/ software. I'm not sure how accurate it would have to be as long as the display made some kind of sense. The hardware analyzers I've seen are really too expensive for me, and I have to have the laptop along on location anyhow. Is there any such thing, and if not could this product be something that Lectro or Zax could be persuaded to make? Or is there a decent relatively inexpensive handheld analyzer that covers UHF that I've missed? Philip Perkins
Noah Timan
Billy Sarokin is using a Windows-based freq analyzer that I believe does the entire UHF band to 1000 MHz. He posted about it on RAMPS not long ago, so you could search there, or just contact him directly. I believe he's happy with it and it costs about a grand (hardware/software combo).
