His post follows: Speaking of Edirol, has anyone heard anything more about the upgrade to the R4? Supposedly they are adding TC and other big enhancements at roughly the same price as the current R4...(at least this is what I heard at DV Expo). Thanks! Phil I owned an R-4 when it first came out and it had a few design limitations for my liking and so I didn't keep it. Since then, several new machines have come out that could be considered direct competition to the R-4 (the R-4 seeming to fall somewhat out of favor). I had heard also that Editrol would announce some feature upgrades at NAB this year. We should keep our eyes on this.
