Thought some people might want to check this out.  I recently was looking for a low cost portable D to A converter so i could run a separate comtek/ifb feed from my 744t.  Someone on ramps dug this up for me, and it works rather well:

total cost with shipping from hong kong is under $100.  it also came with an ac adapter, another power cable with an unterminated pigtail (that i had a 4 pin hirose connection put on), a spidf cable, and an optical cable.  (i think it also shipped with an ethernet cable too)
