Ludovic Lasserre
Hi everyone, Going off to Istanbul in a few weeks for a little while. I'd like to know if anyone has used UK Lectro block 606 radios over there with success? These cover UKch 38, 39 and 40 (606 to 630). I've read reports here that US block 24, among others, was fine there, which is partially good news as it overlaps the higher end of UK block 606. Any further info much welcome! I'll bring back pics, promised Thanks in advance

VM
As Senator says it will work fine, but the RX...will probably receive lots of things you don't wish ! In March, I was for a month of shooting in Istanbul. And a friend of mine, was there last year for a feature film. Istanbul is DIFFICULT...with frequencies. My IFB were on Sennheiser G3, bloc B. Not too bad. But not easy. Mics were on Lectro bloc 24. I had to scan even during the take, because frequencies were changing all the time (boats ?). I love Lectro scan mode... My best frequency was close to 700 MHz. My friend worked with others frequencies but I do not remember which frequencies he used. That says my sounds were clean, but I was often on the edge... Ludovic Lasserre
Thanks everyone. I think I'll be ok. Jon, I don't have anything on ch69 anymore! Erkal, it's a UK feature shooting over there for 4 weeks and then back in England. Do you mind sending me your email address via private message? Could be useful to be in touch with you if I need anything over there. Cheers

VM
Hijacking this thread as I might be shooting in Istanbul in October. Any experiences with Lectro blocks 28-29-30 (710...790 MHz range)? My experience in Istanbul : a very difficult and changing RF situation, especially in the historical center. It was in March 2012.
