mjacomb
Hello people. Pretty new here. Doing a series shot on Scarlet, and basically, I'm looking for opinions on the best way to get timecode onto the Red. Looking at going wireless from the 788. Either that or Lockits. Who's had relative success with the Scarlet? I know it's not ideal... Cheers Max
Zack
it's fairly easy, use either method you mentioned.
Vincent R.
I recently did 744t - lockit -Scarlett. Rejammed after lunch. All business as usual.
Miles Anderson
ditto, or treat it like film and use a slate.
Marc Wielage
I personally think a Lockit or a Denecke SB-T is a better way to go than wireless. But I have to admit, Zaxcom's ERX and also Timecode Buddy have some intriguing wireless timecode ideas that can work.
johnpaul215
I already own SB-3 boxes, so I have been using them. Zero issues. I did some shoots where they brought Lockits with the camera. Again, no issues. Just make sure somebody has the proper TC cable. It seems like most people going wireless are using a Timecode Buddy or Zaxnet. I have not read about anyone using a Comtek, though it should work. mjacomb
It's a TV sitcom, and the general concensus is that we're going to use a proper slate. Regarding jam synching the leaf blower, do they hold ok after battery changes? I'd heard that they don't. Thanks all.

Constant jam from a lockit box is the way to go...

Chris McCallum
Did a shoot last week with a Scarlett that sensibly had a PIX 240 attached which gave me the chance to provide "Proper" audio as well as jam the PIX with code which in turn jammed the Scarlett. Long way round but seemed to overcome some of the issues
Mark Orusa
I'm on a movie where the sound mixer is using Zaxcom ERX1TCD receivers on camera and they work great. TC is always running and they also provide one channel scratch track. If they lose signal from the transmitter they keep running TC. Also, the two AA batteries last the 12 hours shooting plus lunch running continuously. Mark O.
