Olle Sjostrom
http://www.vimeo.com/tjockishjartafilm/impaktor This is an app called Impaktor, which seems to convert audio impulses from the onboard mic to midi signals that trigger a synth. Totally addictive! Check it out, if you're into music making on the fly. Cheers!

Olle Sjostrom
I can see that. I've been using it just a few hours and I'm already inspired to try and make a song this way. I totally love the fact that I can have a tangible interface with a very simple device and it doesn't cost a fortune. It doesn't make extremely good quality sounds, but it's super intuitive. Christian Spaeth
pretty cool. But the newer GarageBand for iDevices is pretty cool too, with the visual drums and all. You like this better?

You like this better? Haven't tried the GarageBand, not really my type of software... And I dunno how much money I've spent on these sort of apps, I have well over 20 on my iPhone... Maybe I should give it a go. What I really like about this one is that I can literally make music just slapping om my knees.. There are lots of controls, like pitch and stuff... Since it's all synthesized, everything can be controlled and tampered with a lot more than just a sampler
larsson
Holy cow - great app! Thanks for sharing
Dave Rae
Looks/sounds amazing. Can you make a melody? - ie with the pitch control. Figure - an app from Propellerhead is great too - has drum, bass and lead tracks. Unusual but effective i/face. As if we need another reason to fiddle with our phones. Olle Sjostrom
Used Figure for a while. It's a toy, or a good sketch tool. I'm sure you can make a melody with impaktor, but it's very hard since you can't really tell how hard you have a to beat to reach a certain note... But with a little bit of practice maybe
