Sergio Sanmiguel
You really don't want to see what gets into my email box...
Jeff Wexler
Hi Jeff, This is what arrived in my box with the boom recorder story. Brian Shennan Yikes! I sure wish I could have done something to prevent that endless string of crap showing up in your box. Let's hope it never happens again. - Jeff Wexler
takev
Hi Jeff, When you create a new topic, there is an "announce topic" in the "Additional Options". Maybe that is what happened. I also received the new topic announcement. Cheers, Take
bcopenhagen
I posted this in the "Boom Recorder files" thread, figured I'd post here too. Jeff- I "subscribe" to this Board (Workflow) and get an alert email each time a new topic is added. In this case, however, I received an email from jwsound.net with Stan's complete post in it. If I had pressed "reply", I'm sure it would have had the same result as Alan's email, ie, sending it to YOUR email. Don't know if that helps solve the mystery, maybe I'll look at my jwsound prefs and see what I've got set up there. Cheers, Brian FWIW to shed light on this mystery mail, I have the following checked in my prefs: -Receive forum announcements and important notifications by email. -Receive reply notification only for the first unread reply. Additionally, under Current Board Notifications, I am subscribed to "Workflow". When you create a new topic, there is an "announce topic" in the "Additional Options". So maybe announcing a new topic qualifies as a "forum announcement" and goes out via email.....? Cheers, Brian
takev
Brian, You are probably right, lets create a couple of new topics with "announce topic" turned on :-) Just for a test. Cheers, Take
