Eric Toline
Cable to be used how? As a Collette cable or from the mic to the mixer? A few more details would help. Eric

Olle Sjostrom
Why don't you write schoeps a mail and ask them if they could let you buy some cable? Or maybe they can point you in the right direction? Rode also has Kevlar cables... They've been helpful to others on this board.
Jim Gilchrist
Redding Audio in Connecticut is the US distributor for Schoeps products. Perhaps someone there can help you out. Best regards, Jim
myke2241
Thanks Olle, Rode looks interesting. I already know i can buy from Schoeps. it is $12/m.... not bad but i am weighing my options and i would like to know if people here know of similar alternatives to the Schoeps. it doesnt have to be kevlar since i am keeping my options open right now. On that note, I know for certain Rode uses kevlar cables on their lavs, which would assume they could probably make thicker cables with kevlar on it, but I'm not sure.. "They've been helpful to others on this board" suggested that asking them would probably be a good idea since they have been helpful and might also point you in the right direction... This is the cable I was thinking about, it's a MiCon cable, so it's wired for a lav, but it could probably be ordered from Rode and not terminated. It's pretty thin but very durable IME. http://www.rodemic.com/accessories/micon_cable_300
studiomprd
" some similar alternatives. i would like to spend a little less money " what you are seeing is that the premium stuff costs the premium $$$
