johnpaul215
Jassim: If nothing else, leave when you stop learning. It sounds high stress and low pay, so hopefully you are getting something out of it. You asked how other shows do it, and your timing is perfect, this just happened a few weeks ago: "Our video from "The Sound of Nurse Jackie: An Afternoon with Jan McLaughlin & Steve Borne" is now available to view online! Watch as Jan and Steve offer comprehensive advice for creating an efficient workflow to ease the creative process." Our own Jan McLaughlin is the is the production sound mixer, and Steve Born is the supervising sound editor. It was an incredibly educational peek into how both teams mesh. I've never had more than a few emails about tech specs or questions from post, so the professional post sound thing was a big mystery to me. Ok, it still is pretty mysterious, but at least I have a little more understanding. http://tekserve.com/business/nurse-jackie-avid-sound-event-video
