commpost
I recently had my old AKG 452 (which I bought new 35 years ago) serviced by a reputable dealer, but after sitting in the case for a month or two, the performance seems worse than ever. The output is low, and there is significant white noise in the output. Is the problem in the preamp or in the CK1 capsule? Can it be repaired? thx Commpost
mastermixaudiomedia
I have a 40 year old AKG C414 that I recently had serviced by AKG(Harman), don't see why you shouldn't be able to get your 452 back up to spec.
studiomprd
" Is the problem in the preamp or in the CK1 capsule?" probably " Can it be repaired? " probably. " serviced by a reputable dealer, " contact them... personally, I tend to prefer factory service, or at least factory authorized service,
mastermixaudiomedia
This might be a good option as well: AKG Mic Repair I noticed that this outfit was listed on the official AKG Technical Support page(as Land Audio Services)... studiomprd
" outfit was listed on the official AKG Technical Support page " that would make them: factory authorized.
