Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions for a very, very small usb keyboard for use in a bag?

I was looking at these which are about 9 inches wide:

But I still feel like there must be some other smaller options out there....

Very small - I use

dreamGEAR MINI-Key for PlayStation 2 (about 3.25" or 8.2cm across)

with my 788 CL8 USB input and once you get used to where to find things it's great - much faster than the rotary wheel on the side, and has turned out to be quite rugged considering.

May be difficult to source though, I think it may have been discontinued or there were supply problems?

This is the on I bought with a PS2 adapter to use with the Sound Devices CL-1 adapter. This was literally the only decent quality PS2 mini keyboard I could find that wasnt ridiculously over priced like the one shown below which I also found.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. Diego I like the looks of that one, 2 inches smaller width wise than the one I was looking at which is a bonus.

Those wrist wearable ones seem like they could be good but definitely are expensive for keyboard prices! That and I would feel like a data entry cyborg.

I spat my drink out when I noticed the price!

I seriously doubt that most of the keyboards will work with any of the Zaxcom recorders. There have been problems with support for keyboards for the longest time, requiring Deva / Fusion users to find the one or two keyboards that actually work.

D

Didn't Zaxcom recently announce upcoming support for keyboards on Nomad? If so I hope they can advise which ones DO work.

a tiny one

normally for an HTC phone, but i used it on an SD744

I had one like this and I couldn't get it to work w/ CL1 and 744. This was a few yrs ago--maybe it just looked like this but was a diff model.

The only keybd I got to work reliably w/ 744 CL1 was the "squishy key" flexible one that Trew sold for awhile. Worked ok but was kind of unpleasant to type on

I've tried several keyboards over the period in which I've owned my 788T. Many do not like the 788T which I'm guessing is down to USB powering. Anymore suggestions from here in the UK??

I've used the "SIIG USB Mini Multimedia Keyboard", which definitely works with the 788:

$20 from Amazon. It's not the tiniest keyboard around (about 12" across), but if it was any smaller, my ape-like fingers would have too much trouble typing in scene names and notes.

this one works with my SD 744T but not on my Fusion:

PSK-3100PS2 (not U like USB)

this KB-207U-B-DE works on my Fusion but is not as small and got a German layout (Fusion wants English):
