Sound Intuition
I am driving myself crazy trying to come up with a way to blimp these over burdened Sony 900 cameras and still make it user friendly for the first assist. old school
Hey thats funny. What I enjoy the most in your picture, is that beneath the cluster fuck of a camera, is a gear head. It is modeled like many that were used on the old school huge cameras... I am schocked that, a) It has come to this. Any one in local 600 even knows what one is, let alone know how to operate one... and c)What are you blimping it for? On most sets I work, the noise floor is such that whatever that beast generates, it won't be an issue. Nice pictures. Thanks. CrewC
Guest afewmoreyears
Agree with mr. C, theres usually enough noise. That said, it's not really your problem... If this is the system THEY chose, do all you can do, Let them know if it's a problem, make a few suggestions like throw a blanket over the whole mess, which will go over well, make some notes to the editor, and call it a day.... Sometimes you just have to shrug it off and get a laugh out of it. In the end like the old T shirt used to say, "It'll sound great through little TV speakers! Sergio Sanmiguel
This picture is just hilarious... Hey, they forgot to Velcro up a cheeseburger!
Sound Intuition
It does make you have to laugh. They do everything they can to try and make it work like a film camera except think of the people who have to use it. Try and go hand held, not to mention put it on a stedi cam. Why am I trying to blimp it? I guess I'm a sucker for punishment.
