His life work to protech against hearing loss set the standards used throughout industry by OSHA and others to protect workers from hearing loss on the job. I have been asked hundreds of times why our audio mixers headphone amplifiers do not go as loud as others.......Dr. House's long term exceptable exposure levels (8 hour work days) are the sole reason. Our audio mixer owner's manuals always state....."Your ears are your livelyhood. Turn it down!" All thanks to Dr. House!
