RPSharman
Going to England for Christmas and want to take some movies. Can I play my NTSC movies using my MacBook Pro monitor out (using HDMI adapter) to HDMI input on a PAL HDTV? Or via a VGA input (is there an adapter for that)? Thanks
OmahaAudio
Going to England for Christmas and want to take some movies. Can I play my NTSC movies using my MacBook Pro monitor out (using HDMI adapter) to HDMI input on a PAL HDTV? Or via a VGA input (is there an adapter for that)? Yes. If you go out from your MBP using an HDMI adapter into a digital (i.e. flat screen) TV it will work just fine. If you put a region two DVD into your MBP you'll get a "do you want to change the region on your DVD drive?" question. Answering yes will let you play region two DVDs but you're only allowed to do this change five times before the DVD drive locks into the region that it's set to (one-to-two then two-back-to-one is two changes out of the five allowed). RPSharman
Thanks, Richard. One of the DVDs is Blu-Ray. Hadn't really thought that far ahead. But has "digital copy", so I guess I could load that and play it. Robert
