Aron Siegel
Hi everyone: I'm working on a show set in the late 50s, and the set decorator is looking to rent some mics. the top pic is for a lecturn, and the bottom pic is for a singer. if anyone here has these to rent, please email Adam Willis (alchemistkubrick@gmail.com) or Alex West (birdsandcherries@yahoo.com) thanks,
Marc Wielage
Don't forget the venerable RCA 77DX and the 44BX. Audio Rents in Hollywood has both: http://www.audiorents.com/rental/14/group/Microphones.html but note they aren't cheap!
Laurence
Don't know if he's willing to rent them but you could ask... http://www.hollywoodsound.com/html/gall-mics.php

BudRaymond
Wow those old ribbon mics are awesome!
Wyatt Tuzo
Wow! from Shure's to Reslo's to EV's! nice collection! If you wanna talk ribbons... I agree, both the 44 and 77 are some of the best sounding (along with Coles 4038, Royer 121 and beyer 160... but these are for different markets). I know this thread is more about sound than looks, but I would also like to cast my vote for the Cascade mics with the Lundahl xfrmrs... from a sound perspective, that is.
