daniele turi Posted February 9, 2013 Report Posted February 9, 2013 Hi there, I have got a new 788t with cl-8. How can I listen in post fader from my hp? When I use the 788T in post-fader, also if all the cl-8's faders are -∞ I listen the armed tracks. Why? I would like to listen only the tracks that I open from the cl-8. Is it possible?? Thank you
Constantin Posted February 9, 2013 Report Posted February 9, 2013 By turning the wheel on the right hand side of the recorder you can choose the headphone mode. Choosing L,R or LR,LR (Mono) enables you to listen post fader. You can also set a favourite mode for recording and another one for listening. There are a few menu items for setting up headphone preferences. And, RTFM
daniele turi Posted February 9, 2013 Author Report Posted February 9, 2013 ... and if don't want to record on L and R but only on tracks a-b-c-d-e-f ecc.....? How can I listen the Tracks in postfader using the cl-8 without doing a mix on L-R??
Constantin Posted February 9, 2013 Report Posted February 9, 2013 You still do the mix, you just don't record it. You simply disarm the LR tracks.
Boomboom Posted February 9, 2013 Report Posted February 9, 2013 See the hp's menu(s). It's all there.
JonG Posted May 20, 2013 Report Posted May 20, 2013 Congratulations on the new SD gear! All of your questions can be answered by reading the manual.

Marc Wielage Posted May 20, 2013 Report Posted May 20, 2013 The manual on the SD 788 is very good. I took most of an entire day to go through every single switch, mode, menu, and checked out every single item until I got to the point where I could jump to the menus in seconds. The routing and monitor menus are particularly important; they're complicated, but I don't think they could be made any simpler and yet still retain the same power and flexibility.
Brian Posted December 10, 2014 Report Posted December 10, 2014 I hate to say it Mr Turi.. Read the manual. I am a chronic manual reader. Every piece of gear I own i've read the manual for. But to be fair it's more of an Audio Engineering question. The question is how do I create a post fade mix. You can also send tracks post fader to a,b,c or you can use x1,x2 as a monitoring source for post fader mix of all signals.
