Karl Wasserman
Okay, Comtek users: Can anybody suggest why I might want to use the larger Phase Right PRA-216 antenna rather than the significantly more compact Mini-Mite® 216 with the BST-75 basestation? In addition to being way smaller, Comtek says that the Mini-Mite eliminates the "need for an antenna ground." Whaddaya think? Thanks in advance. RPSharman
Karl, Users here report little or no difference between any of the antennas, including the built-it telescoping ones. Comteks perform well regardless. Just be sure whatever you use is placed optimally and the RF light isn't flashing while in use. David Waelder
We tested several transmitting antennas for the 695 Quarterly. The results were published in the Summer 2011 Issue. You can find it here: http://695quarterly.com/3-3/3-3-testing-the-transmitting-antennas/ David
