pvanstry
Well guys, i believe i have outdid myself on this one. This is my new bag which is replacing my 788/CL8 bag that i had before. This bag is an evolution and it is currently not in it's final stage, i have a custom bag being made as i write this by Kortwich, complete with Hip belt support replacing the standard harness. Here are the features on this bag: -3x Lectrosonics SRA, wired with Unislot adapter -1x Sound Devices 664 -1x Sound Devices CS-664 bag ( temporary until i get the Kortwich ) -1x Custom made DC Distro consisting of an NP-1 cup directly wired and epoxied to a box. As two DC accesories output, Ouput for my 664, ouput for the SRA and a Parallel DC Input to feed a power supply or 2nd NP-1 for the kit. -1x Custom aluminum mounting block to insert my SRA's and NP-1. This also as a headphone output wired directly to the 664 Headphone output and my main DC on/off switch. This block is directly mounted to the 664, attaching itself like a CL6. In the future, i can attach a CL6 on the other side of the 664. Everything wired with Kortwich style low profile ( homemade ) connectors including the DC Hirose for the 664 ( which i am seriously proud of ). Hope you guys like... Max Hirtenstein
OK and your retail price for one made for a Nomad is...?
Toy Robot
Seriously, you could go into business selling customizations like this. That is fantastic.
Derek H
Excellent! The right angle Hirose is impressive. My guess: Sugru? That is a serious chunk of aluminum! No threads to bolt the SRs down? They stay pretty snug as is?
Neil Mc
That looks amazing Pascal. Did you machine the aluminum as well?
RPSharman
That is brilliant. Absolutely brilliant. You should be extremely proud, and should seriously consider making custom bags and cable kits when you're off work.
Max Hirtenstein
One (small) question: what channel does your boom go when you need one??
geordi
Holy crap... That is beyond gorgeous. Excellent work Pascal, you are truly an artist. Except for the battery setup, (I use Sony L-types) that is something for me to strive for. Truly amazing.
pvanstry
Max: I disconnect one of the input and connect a boom cable directly. As for a nomad version, always interested. Pm me with what you want and we can take it from there. Derek: it's not sugru but epoxy. Also I use simple hair elastic under the sra to hold them in place. Screws would complicate things when I need to quickly remove one. Neil: I had a shop make it. I made am AutoCad 3d drawing of it complete with exact measurements. I do offer a service of custom cable making and did make some already, including 788 harness. I am available for projects if people are interested. For everyone else, thank you for your nice words and compliment, coming from you guys, it's really great.
pvanstry
It's actually a friend of mine that proposed it and we then proceeded our separate ways with two different design. His is simply a frame to mount the actual SRA uni slot blue mounting rings supplied by Lectrosonics for the camera, mine an integrated part of the kit with DC switch and headphone connector.
