Bartek
Hi there, I've been taking apart TC (Lemo to XLR In and Out) cables that I had acquired over the years as pre made by various vendors and I noticed that some are wired with resistors and sometimes capacitors while some are not, all work just fine. For example a cable made by PSC has a 1100000ohms (brown brown green) resistor in between the hot cable and XLR pin 2, there is another resistor of the same value between pin 2 and 3, an unknown value capacitor between pins 2 and 3. Pins 3 and 1 are "jumped". An original Sound Devices TC cable on the other hand is connected straight into the XLR connector, no "jumps" (pin 1 ground pin 2 hot pin 3 open). Why the different wiring schemes?
