"You're not required to have extensive or long-term experience but you have to know what you're doing; you have to be able to hold a boom pole really well without making any handling noise and you have to be able to hold it for long periods of time. The choice for us is between a C-stand made of metal or meat." *facepalm* I think I've worked with people like that before - They want to roll continuously for 8 hours, and god help you, they will NEVER tell you (or the poor camera guys) to take a break.
