My visit to AATON - Grenoble

A whilrwind one day visit, simply because JP was too tied up and I had arrived a week too late. And it was too cold back at his house in the "campagne" so it was not possible like the last time in 2008 to go there and spend days...

Philippe Vandendriessche - the Belgian sound mixer/photographer/cineaste was there shooting for his longstanding documentary about Aaton.

The new Cantar X3 was discussed seriously for a couple of hours between us, and over lunch at an Italian rest right next to the Aaton office...

The X3 is going to be GOOD, that's all i can say for now. It will have addressed everything that sound mixers have felt lacking or to be changed or to be flexible with the X2.

It was a wonderful day with them and too short. I wished i had more time out there, even a few days, but that was not to happen...

A few pictures...
