Tom Visser
This is Dell's version of the LG EA93 21:9 monitor. I actually like that it is sort of small vertically, as I can have clear line of site to my projector and speakers without a giant screen in the way. ProTools timeline will look good and still have real estate when I pull the clip bin out a bit for legibility. I'm thinking that even dual head would be cool, although perhaps stretching the peripheral viewing angle a bit too much - hmm... will try one first and see how it goes. Tom Visser
From what I've seen from others, yes it works. I think Dell has some sort of window media manager software that is windows only, but is not required for simple monitor connectivity and function. The app handles more advanced things like multi-window multi-source stuff and automatic aspect ratio preferences. The stupid "bezel in the middle" thing is always the one item that made me against dual head setups. I figured the middle area is the most important since that is what is in front of you and the best place to look. This of course solves all of that. John Blankenship
That looks awesome. I currently run quad monitors on the Mac in the studio, so I'm not in a hurry to change, but that still looks cool. The four monitors cover a six foot wide span but, like Tom talked about, they're easy to see over to the projection screen and into the recording area/foley studio.
