Eric Toline
With a properly wired cable for line input into the Lectro TX the TX cannot be attenuated enough to make it useable. The 302was set to factory default line output and the cable was wired as per Lectro with the line source feeding pin 5 on the TA5. A call to Lectro tech support came up with a solution of adding a 10k ohm resistor in series with the positive feed which dropped the "0" level of .775vac to .395vac from the 302which should be fine. Lectro tech thinks it's an impedence mismatch between the 302 & the 400a causing the problem. Anyone ever had the same type of issue with a 302 & a UM400a? Thanks, Eric
Jesse Flaitz
I just did this test a little while ago using my MC35 cable (also tested it with a custom made line level cable from PSS) and lectro UM200c and I had to put an AT pad set to -10 to get it just below where the -20 LED comes on. I did not test it on UM400a though.
Peter Wong
Hi Eric I was using the same setup using a factory mc35 cable, the factory tech said to drop the output to -10. Which he said was still considered line level. Every since everything has been fine. Peter
Eric Toline
Thanks for the confirmation of the problem. Still not sure if it's caused by the 302 output circuit or the 400a input. In any event I added a 10k resistor in series with the positive feed and sent the cables off to the customer. I'll get his feedback later this week as to wether it solved his problem.
