Johnny Karlsson
So I've played with it for a couple days and RTFM (yeah I'm one of those guys). The one thing that I cannot find, that I'm used to on other SD mixers (and tend to use on every shoot) is the ability to make the left channel of the main out go on-off-on-off while the right channel stays solid. This is of course done by pressing the battery button on 302/442, but the 664 does not have a battery button.... I think this is a very valuable feature for trouble shooting, and to simply make sure that I have a stereo return from camera etc. Has this been omitted or am I just missing something? juanignacio
They buried it in a menu. I think its in the last page and is labeled as tone and the options are L-indent/continuous. I too was bummed there wasn't a shortcut. Hopefully its something that can be done in a firmware update.
Johnny Karlsson
Thanks juanignacio! I will check it when I get back today.
Jim Gilchrist
It's not really buried in the menus - the 664 menu structure is fairy flat. What you're interested is in menu #8 SYSTEM. It's item #3 Tone Mode. You want L Ident. Best regards, Jim
Johnny Karlsson
Thanks Jim, When juanignacio pointed out that it was in a menu, it took 2 sec to find it. So yeah, I wouldn't say it's buried, but still would be nice to have a shortcut to toggle it on off.
juanignacio
It was probably the one feature that I never realized I used as often as I did. Not having it accessible as a button in my mind is buried.
mikewest
Good news! It's all a learning curve with new gear but feel the 664 menu is pretty friendly! mike
