dfisk
We are shipping our first units today. These units are going to dealers who pre-ordered them. Don't worry we have plenty of units in stock, but the orders are coming in quickly now. List price is $99. Keep an eye out for one special unit. We put a little note with some instructions in the very first unit we put together. If you get that one (it's completely random. I have no idea who is going to get it) make sure to follow the instructions. We are very excited for this day. We've spent the past year working hard on this product, and we are very proud of it. Below is a demo video with the actual production unit.

Ben
Saw one at Pro-Sound the other day on Richard's Desk. Looked Purdy.
dfisk
Saw one at Pro-Sound the other day on Richard's Desk. Looked Purdy. They have one of the first prototypes. We've made improvements since that one. It will work with any standard shotgun and the schoeps mk/cmc mics. We'll be having spring mounts for the MKH 40/50/60/70 soon. Ben
Hey Dave, Just picked up a nautilus at PSS today. Very pleased with it so far. Just a question about use. I am thinking that I will keep all parts disassembled in a pouch for storage; Then pop the clips on the mic first and slide the whole thing on the mounting rail for use. Does that seem like a good option? Will that cause unnecessary wear and tear on the clips? I find that doing that is especially useful for short mics like the KM100. Thanks for making great products. By the way, I like the way the clips vibrate in unison without a mic in them. Kind of trippy.
Phil D
I saw one at a trade show here in NZ last week. It looks great. Is the mounting bar compatible with any wind cages, or will it be in the future?

By the way, I like the way the clips vibrate in unison without a mic in them. Kind of trippy. Hey Ben, You can do it that way if you want. There are no hard and fast rules. Doing it that way won't create any more wear and tear on the Nautilus. I'm glad you like it. I saw one at a trade show here in NZ last week. It looks great. Is the mounting bar compatible with any wind cages, or will it be in the future? We are making a new Zeppelin that should be out later in the year that incorporates the Nautilus spring mounts. As of right now the Nautilus does not work with any zeppelin.
Phil D
It makes sense to follow up with a zepplin. I will look forward to seeing it soon.

dfisk
Gee the walk and talk part of the demo has so much bass roll off - pardon! mike Yeah...it's a junky built in mic on a small action camera that I had mounted to one of our tadpoles. I do all this stuff myself so I have to work with what I have.
Mark LeBlanc
Picked up a Nautilus this past week. Pictured here with my AKG CK69 with full extension tube on. Nautilus made wheedling the beast on a long steadycam shot a breeze... It's not often I use the CK with in the super long mode but had to pull it out for an int shot inside a mall food court on steadycam. Nautilus worked perfectly for us.... dfisk
This is great! Thanks for sharing. It's awesome to see it in action with a long shotgun like that.
