KevinCrawford
https://soundcloud.com/zenandtheart/dpa-4060-sound-collage Here's a sound design collage i created with the 4060's. I bought the exact stereo pair you're thinking of getting. I've been very pleased with them. Great value! Enjoy

VASI
Does anyone have photos or can point me to a link of photos of how to rig these for stereo? http://www.dpamicrophones.com/en/Mic-University/StereoTechniques.aspx
soundmanjohn
As these are omni mics, this page might be a better guide: http://www.dpamicrophones.com/en/Mic-University/Stereo-Techniques/AB-Stereo.aspx I have a pair of 4060s and 4061s and use them for a whole raft of different purposes. With Rycote Mini WIndjammers, they work well outside. The 4060s are a matched pair, but the 4061s are ex-West-End show and are taped to the outside of a window of our appartment in case anything interesting happens, soundwise. Attached is an MP3 of a little light thunder from the other night, which should give you an idea of the bottom end that's available from these little mics. ernesto of the north
so then. . .for an A-B array with omnis like a 4060 a mic-to-mic spacing of 40 to 60cm, which is convenient to remember if you own a stereo pair of 4060s
Labarba
finally i purchased the pair of mics i have been testing the misc this week in a trip to Oslo for a shooting i have been very pleased with the sound recording ambiences, you have some clips in my soundcloud. I have tried the trick with the coathanger and the magnetic clips, it worked great, no handling noise and a good separation for mics, very handy https://soundcloud.com/labarbasoundcloud still trying to get that fabulous lav sound everybody talks about....so difficult hide the mic in the right place... rb1138
Friend of mine found this video: http://youtu.be/_umkd8STKEo Never saw this vid on youtube before...or maybe I wasn't searching right. They test a couple of DPA microphones including the lavaliers and boom mike.
soundmanjohn
Had a visit from some bees today & put out the DPA 4060 stealth set. http://snd.sc/15wiOtZ It got busier (and buzzier) later on and I broke out the ST450 and made a surround recording, which is rather fun and not a little disturbing. A link will follow for any B-Format nuts on the list. Regards, John B-Format files here: http://www.divshare.com/download/24437106-770 Please note - only download this very large file if you have the necessary software to transcode B-Format files. Recorded at 96/24, interleaved .WAV file
