i have a venue receiver with a VRT installed (all current firmware) when i go to 'Detect' on the venue i get a '?' on this channel. its not the frame, it follows this specific VRT module.. now i can assign it to be block 20, which it says it is on the VRT, but the frame cannot detect it. anyone know why this is?? could it be a VRS module which might have been tagged accidentally a VRT??

Are you saying the module does not work even if you assign it to block 20 manually? Or just that the detection is not working?

Detection does not work.

That module's PLL is tuning over a larger range than normal and the Venue does not know what to do with it. For instance, if the PLL tunes both block 20 and 21, the Venue doesn't know which block to assign it to. When the "?" comes up, push the button for that module (one of the 6 buttons under the display) and then assign the correct block to it. As long as the module is not moved to a new position, it should always come up on the correct block.

If you want it to auto-detect, the module  will have to be realigned to have a narrower PLL lock range.
