mikefilosa
JJ Cale has passed away ..... and I am stunned. He has been my all-time favorite artist for decades ..... an American icon in my book..... http://www.rosebudus.com/cale/ MF

old school
That is very sad. Life on the road is hard but JJ's playing was sweet. We were lucky to have him in our lives. RIP Mr Cale. CrewC
soundtrane
may not be the latest, but one can see the smoothness out there...
FredS
From my years in Nashville he was clearly a musician's musician. Lightning just struck around him, like Mac Gayden's iconic slide/wah guitar that's the backbone of Crazy Mama recorded during the runthrough. Magic like that makes me more forgiving when asked to roll on rehearsals.
Jim Gilchrist
A little later on than Vin's post. J.J. Cale's death is a huge loss to both American pop and roots music. Best regards, Jim
